Quay

Quay was the last restaurant we visited in Sydney and upon reviewing all three restaurants I think it was my favourite. Everything was outstanding at Quay. The food, the atmosphere and the service. It was all just wonderful! I'm not at all surprised at Quay being awarded Restaurant of the Year by the SMH Good Food Guide and Australian Gourmet Traveller. The other wonderful thing about Quay was that we felt quite comfortable there (we felt a little out of place at Bilson's and Tetsuya's) but Quay seemed relaxed but friendly and still provided excellent service and food.

All in all a wonderful restaurant and dining experience. :-) I would love to go there again one day...

Ohhhhhhhh... the view from your table!!!! It's like you're on the water! How gorgeous and very fancy schmancy... I thought this wasn't a degustation? How many courses did you guys eat... 'cos it looked like a lot! I love your description of the raspberry sorbet being more raspberry than the actual raspberries! And btw - I can't believe you ate the equivalent of crab chao!?! What the?!

Looking forward to the next blog installment... Taronga zoo? Since all the foodie photos are done now...

You're right, it wasn't a degustation...we had four courses each...photos are of both Mike's and my courses and we ordered different things for each course. Photos of Mike's are before mine i.e. Mike had the sea pearls and I had the mud crab congee and so on. And yes I know, crab chao was a weird thing to order but it was delicious! :-)

And the Taronga blog post should be up sometime tomorrow...I'm still sorting through my photos!
