Playing with sunlight...

This week I decided I would try and channel Clara and attempt to shoot into the sun and capture some sunlight - something I have never attempted before! I feel like I may have gone slightly blind in one eye - but I was reasonably happy with these two shots.

This was me attempting to capture some morning sunshine...Not sure I really like it as a photo(considering the subject is a random part of a bottle brush tree) but I do think it was a reasonable capture of the glowy morning light...

This was a shot from my afternoon walkies with Luka. I've decided I really need to think about composition of my photos more, I'm not happy with the composition of this shot, I even contemplated cropping but then decided to leave it as it is.

And I decided my macro lens is highly underused so I took this macro shot this weekend too..

Getting back into photography

Since my super talented sister has been taking all these amazing photos lately (Yay Clara!) I have been inspired to make more of an effort to get back into my photography...

My aim at the moment is to try and take one photo a week...well, I imagine I will be taking more than a single photo a week so what I really mean is that I hope to have one decent photo a week!

My enthusiasm is high at the moment so here's a few of my latest shots.

I looooooove my new splashback!!!

As someone whose splashback area was previously covered with dodgy paint and crappy tiles I am totally in love with my new splashback!

It looks just how I hoped it would and I am so happy with how the colour looks with everything. It was really hard to tell from holding all the samples up together how good it would look in a full sized real life kitchen but I think it looks awesome (if I do say so myself). :p

Now we're just waiting for one last little cupboard to be fixed (the fitting they ordered for us wasn't able to be door mounted so they've made little drawer type things for the cupboard that can be door mounted and we're just waiting for them to be installed....after that my kitchen will finally be finished! I can't wait!

I have a shiny new benchtop!

We have a benchtop! And it's so shiny and pretty....I love it. :) Black pearl granite and it's just how I hoped it would be. So we have our benchtop and finally our shiny new induction cooktop and kitchen sink have been installed. :) I am so thrilled with it all....now just a couple of weeks until our glass splashback is installed and it will be truly finished! I can't wait!
