What can I say about Tetsuya's Restaurant...it was truly an amazing experience. I will admit not all the food was exactly to my taste since I'm not really a huge sashimi fan - but Mike thought that everything was fantastic. The whole experience of a twelve course degustation menu was something I will never forget. The staff were all super attentive which I found a little disconcerting but we certainly were never left wanting for anything! In fact when Mike went to find the men's room and he approached one of the waiters he got as far as 'Can you -' before the waiter said 'Right this way' and showed him the way! Downright intuitive! :-)
Apologies for the blurry photos but taking good photos with only intimate restaurant lighting available is a bit too hard for me and my camera! If only I had Clara's 5D Mark II with its super high ISO! :-P

I'm liking this regular daily blogging thing you have going on... :)
Mmm... that all looks good! I was going to ask you what your favourite dish was, but since you took 2 photos of the chocolate hazelnut fondant, I'm guessing that was your favourite... :) But I'll ask what your favourite savoury course was? I thought the beef looked really yummy! And the spanner crab thingy.. :)... and was that crab leek custard like that custard soup thing that mum used to make?
hehe...I suspect the daily blogging won't last once I'm back at work next week!
It was all fantastic and yes I think the fondant was a stand out for me. Favourite savoury was the beef...it was wagu sliced thin cooked to perfection and rolled up. Delicious! And the spanner crab thing was great too...it was all good! :) And yes! that crab leek custard was like that custard soup mum used to make...funny I didn't even remember about that until you said it but that is exactly what it was like..yummmmm....
